Friendship seems to be taking a big hit these days. Lots of people are losing friends rampantly and aren't making new ones as easily as they used to especially before the era of social media. There's also the fact that we don't seem to be making quality friendships as much as we used to. Friendships that are characterised by openness, trust, vulnerability and sincerity. Recently, author & academic Richard Reeves talked about the challenge millions of people around the work are currently facing when it comes to friendship and its apparent decline today in a brilliant video titled 'The friendship recession' and on this episode of the podcast I examine it a bit and talk about the part of the video that really resonated with me. I also share my own challenges regarding friendships I've lost in recent years. Enjoy.
